FOSHAN KCL INDUSTRY CO.,LTD is an industrial and trading enterprise dedicated to independent research and development, innovation, sales, and the manufacture of superhard abrasives. KCL traces its origins back to a small company named Heng Tuo Abrasive Material Co., Ltd. (HT), founded in 2000 in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, by two visionaries: Mr. Gan Xiaoding and Mr. Tan Diandian.
Mr. Gan Xiaoding is a senior expert in the abrasive material industry, having served as the director of the Hunan Abrasives General Factory, a state-owned enterprise. He was one of the drafters of China's 1983 standard for common abrasives and among the first generation of China's ceramic polishing and abrasives engineers. With over 40 years of industry experience, Mr. Gan retired from the state-owned enterprise at 60 and was later persuaded by his student, Mr. Tan Diandian, to establish HT.
HT specialized in supplying abrasives for various industries, including ceramics, stone, glass, mechanical processing, automobiles, solar panels, mobile phones, optical lenses, and chip processing. In 2009, after nine years of development and with rich experience in low-, medium-, and high-grade grinding and polishing, HT relocated to Foshan, the ceramic capital of China. That same year, the founders decided to enter the superhard abrasive materials market and established Foshan Jintai Superhard Material Co., Ltd. (JSM).
JSM not only supplied abrasives but also provided technical services to factories manufacturing abrasive stones or blocks. This period marked the peak of the polishing tile industry in China.
In 2013, Mr. Tan took over JSM and rebranded it as KCL Industrial Co., Ltd. The name "KCL" is an abbreviation derived from three Chinese characters, symbolizing that technology creates industrial power. Since then, KCL has focused on manufacturing a wide range of abrasives and diamond tools for the ceramics and stone industries.
Leveraging decades of technological expertise in the abrasives industry, KCL has continuously improved its products and processes. By 2021, KCL's products had gained widespread recognition in China and the international market, including Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, Europe, and South America.
